What the… Budget? In detail.

Last month (30th October 2024), Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves shared the government’s Autumn Budget.

Recently, there’s been lots of chat in our offices about what this means for the UK’s businesses and fleets. So, of course, we wanted to share that with you!

Today, we take a closer look at four key topics – EV support, double cab pick-ups, employers’ National Insurance Contributions (NIC) and plug-in vans – with a series of in-depth videos starring our Senior Fleet Consultant, Paul Lippett.

Grab the popcorn and enjoy!

EV Support

The government will continue supporting EVs (sorry, plug-in hybrids).

What should you do?

Focus on fully electric and avoid plug-in hybrids.

Employers’ NIC

Employers’ NIC is on the rise and, as a result, so is Salary Sacrifice.

What should you do?

See how Salary Sacrifice can work for your business.

Plug-in van

Plug-in vans will get their grants for another year, so now’s a great time to act.

What should you do?

Carry on electrifying your light commercial vehicles.

Double cab pick-ups

Taxes will increase on double cab pick-ups – for both employers and employees.

What should you do?

Do a double-cab double-check: does the maths still make sense?
